The town of Arnedo stands in the middle of the Cidacos valley. The first settlements in the hills of San Miguel and El Castillo moved down towards the plains on the riverside.

Arnedo, with 13800 inhabitants, is the third town in La Rioja. The population increased largely in the past century due to the development of shoe industry.

Our rich History is full of very important events, such as the year 1654, when the town was conferred the Title of City. This city offers to the visitor a rich artistic heritage, that can be discovered in their various monuments, such as the Castle, the three churches and the palaces of the Archbishop Argaiz and La Baronesa.

Nowadays Arnedo is an Open City that keeps a good relation with other peoples and towns in Europe and with the New Technologies of Information.
